Riding for the First Time (in a little while)?

They say riding a bike is “like riding a bike” and thus you probably won’t have any problems hopping on a bike and cruising into Davis. If you haven’t ridden a bike in a while however, you might have forgotten some important safety information. Luckily Mass Bike has a great list of resources for new riders. Also check out the “Bike Resources” tab at the top of the page where we will add lots of safety information.

4 Quick tips from Tufts Bikes:
Wear a helmet.
Signal your turns.
Use the front and rear lights if its dark.
Always lock the bike through the frame!

  1. i am personally a big fan of this, too: http://bicyclesafe.com/

  2. Another very important one: Lock your bike up well! Locks should always go through the sturdiest part of the frame, through a wheel if possible, and around a sturdy, immovable object.
